Donald Trump is right about Fox News bias - Fox also gratuitously smeared GOP presidential candidate Andy Martin

Republican Party presidential candidate and media expert Andy Martin offers his opinions on the continuing controversy over biased coverage of Donald Trump at Fox News. Because Andy has also been treated badly by Fox News he offers special insight into the way the news organization is directed to serve the whims of controlling shareholder Rupert Murdoch.

Republican presidential candidate and media expert Andy Martin says Donald Trump is justified in complaining about some Fox news coverage as biased

Andy was smeared by Fox News and Rupert Murdoch during the 2008 presidential race, so Andy has personal experience about the way Fox News is managed and how biased news coverage emanates from the Fox executive suite

(Andy writes today from Honolulu, where he is completing his major undercover investigation involving abysmal homeland security practices by Hawai’i officials.)

(Note: Donald Trump is scheduled to appear on the O’Reilly factor this evening, September 29th.)

(COC Honolulu)(September 29, 2015) Republican presidential candidate and Obama author/expert Andy Martin says GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump is right to complain about biased coverage at Fox News. Andy previously wrote about the Fox news “debate” in August, where Megyn Kelly smeared Trump with unfair attacks. “Megyn Kelly has continued her slanted coverage of Donald Trump,” Andy says. “I also know from personal experience that Fox News is not a ‘normal’ news organization. It is a weapon which Fox owner Rupert Murdoch wields to punish his opponents and to advance his corporate interests.

“On most topics, Fox staff and hosts are allowed to speak freely. But when Murdoch cracks the whip behind the scenes, the people in front of the camera cower, with the possible exception of Bill O’Reilly. (Even O’Reilly had to remove Trump from his show last week when the Trump/Fox dispute again broke into the open.)

So what happened to me in 2008? I was interviewed for a Sean Hannity program on Obama (see [1] below). After the program appeared, Obama’s campaign team went ballistic. The New York Times reported that Democrats were demanding my scalp. I ended up as one of the “most important stories in the world,” on the front page of the New York Times.

Because Grandpa John McCain had all but forfeited the presidential race to Obama by default I had become the leader of forces still fighting to defeat Obama. (Sara Palin had been muzzled by McCain’s incompetent staff.)

Rupert Murdoch was closely observing the 2008 campaign and could see McCain was a confused candidate who had no business running for national office. McCain’s campaign had become an embarrassment to the GOP. (McCain, however, does manage to get reelected locally in Arizona, by pretending to be a conservative at election time.)

Obama sent operative Robert Gibbs to the “Hannity and Colmes” program to smear me by attacking Hannity for having me as a guest. Hannity fell into the trap. Gibb was regurgitating the same old garbage that Obama agents such as New Hampshire GOP chairman Jennifer Horn use to attack me. Same old, same old.

But Gibb’s and Obama’s smear backfired. The more Obama & Co. attacked me, the broader my support grew. Except at Fox News. Fox News management issued a statement attacking me.

If I had surprised or ambushed Fox they might have had cause to complain. But my participation in Hannity’s program took months. There was never any surprise or confusion about who I was. What happened? Rupert Murdoch had already started groveling to his expected winner, Obama, and was currying favor by smearing me. Fox threw me under the bus to advance Murdoch’s corporate agenda. It was shameful.

You have to forgive me for thinking, in light of my own experience, that Sean Hannity is a highly-paid scumbag who lacks the integrity to apologize for a fraudulent attack on a guest that helped him deliver an extraordinary program exposing Obama (watch my portion of the show, see link [1] below).

Hannity has never apologized to me and neither has Fox. So Trump’s initial apology from Fox in August has already extracted more out of Murdoch & Co./Fox than I did back when. Now Fox and Trump are fighting a second round, or third or fourth.

Megyn Kelly has become the keeper of the hen house for Bush stooges and Trump enemies. Night after night Kelly’s “guests” attack Trump. Kelly’s favorite two Fox castrados are Rich Lowry and Marc Thiessen. Lowry, in typical castrado fashion, made a genital analogy in one of his attacks on Trump. Thiessen is a Bush family stooge who attacks Trump in every appearance on Fox.

Trump, of course, watches Fox News and sees how he is being excoriated by Kelly & Crew. Trump is also aware that he receives somewhat more “fair and balanced” coverage at CNN, the liberal hothouse, than he does on Kelly’s show.

Bill O’Reilly has treated Trump fairly when I have seen them together. Because I seldom watch Hannity due to the vacuousness of his show I can only say that he seems to be balanced in his Trump treatment. But Megyn Kelly? No way. Almost every night Kelly’s guests are trashing Trump. See [2] below for another view of why Fox is biased against Trump; some believe that Fox quietly supports the GOP establishment while pretending to be “conservative” to attract viewers.

Tonight Trump is supposed to appear again on O’Reilly, possibly by phone or possibly in person. And Trump and Fox News management have announced a new meeting to discuss the network’s biased treatment (see [3] below). What’s to discuss? O’Reilly and Hannity are even-handed; Kelly is blatantly biased.

Last month when I wrote about Kelly’s misbehavior at the first debate I provided insight on the enmity between Trump and Rupert Murdoch. In the end, what Murdoch wants, Murdoch gets. He doesn’t own the whole company but he owns enough, with rigged stock shares, to control the organization. In 2008, Murdoch wanted to curry favor with Obama, so he slashed me. Today, Murdoch dislikes Trump, so he is allowing Kelly to slash Trump. And because Kelly has a fat paycheck to protect, she is doing what she is told by Fox management. The more things change,…

FOOTNOTE: Andy means action. As soon as Andy announced his Honolulu news conference attacking state officials for lax security at the Port of Honolulu port officials moved the abandoned boat Judy K that Andy had used as an exemplar of Hawai’i incompetence and inefficiency.

NEXT: Dr. Carson and a Muslim president; still a work-in-progress.

Copies of Andy’s 2008 book on Barack Obama are available from the publisher (see below).
